IF YOU’RE ONLY just realising today is Father’s Day… well, that’s not very sound is it?

Look how happy Bert was for his son back at London 2012. If there was an Olympic medal for soundness, Bert is a sure fire gold.

BOD is sound. Amy Huberman is also sound. And young Sadie can always tell her mates she was on the field when Ireland won a Six Nations title.

When your dad is sound enough to let you steal the show despite the fact he’s about to win an NBA title, you know he’s a legend.

Who wouldn’t want to play for their dad at the highest level of club football? Sound.

This retiring Russian footballer was sound enough to let a 5-year old who wasn’t even his own son replace him — and score — in his final ever game.

Relations between the two haven’t always been easy but when your dad is de facto father to an entire high school that’s understandable. Clear eyes, sound heart, can’t lose.
