Paris Saint-Germain ran riot in the Champions League on Tuesday night as they beat Maccabi Haifa 7-2. Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi scored a brace, while Neymar notched up a goal to ensure complete domination from the Parisien club.

As reported by L’Équipe, Neymar will miss the game against Juventus next week after receiving a yellow card against Maccabi Haifa in the first half.

Following a tackle from Haifa defender Abdoulaye Seck on Mbappé, the Brazilian attacker appeared on the scene to take up the matter with the centre-back and subsequently challenged the decision of match referee Felix Zwayer, who went on to show the 30-year-old a yellow card, which was Neymar’s third since the start of the 2022/23 Champions League campaign.

As a result of that caution, the Brazil international will now miss PSG’s final group stage match against Juventus next Wednesday. In five matches in the Champions League this season, Neymar has scored two goals.
