PSG manager Christophe Galtier said he doesn’t believe that his side receives favourable refereeing decisions, adding that due to the addition of video assistance, it is no longer possible to make errors.
Already on a yellow card during PSG’s narrow 1-0 victory against Brest on Saturday, Presnel Kimpembe launched into a tackle on Irvin Cardona, and following the foul, argued with the referee. No yellow card was given. Post-match, Brest manager Michel Der Zakarian said, “He should receive a card, at least a yellow. If he receives a yellow, he’s off because he’s already had one. If it’s us, we’re off. But it’s Paris.”
However, Galtier has responded, stating that his side doesn’t receive preferential treatment. “Regarding whether PSG are refereed differently, I don’t think so. Even when we didn’t have video assistance, I never thought that PSG were refereed differently. Nowadays, we have video assistance, so there can no longer be errors,” said the PSG manager.
