Lucknow Police Searches For Couple After Video Of Them Romancing On Scooty Goes Viral

A video from Lucknow’s Hazratganj area has gone viral on social media, showing a couple romancing while sitting on a moving scooty. Lucknow police are now looking for the couple to take action against them.

The video was shot from another vehicle moving behind the couple and has quickly garnered millions of views on social media platforms. The police have taken cognisance of the video and launched a probe into it.

While speaking to the media, Lucknow Central Zone DCP Aparna Rajat Kaushik confirmed that the video is from Lucknow and was taken in the Hazratganj area. Two police teams have been deployed to look for the couple.

Cops checking CCTV footage

To nab the couple, the police are also checking the CCTV footage from nearby cameras. It said that action will be taken against them under the Motor Vehicles Act and for spreading obscenity.

“The behaviour of the couple not only transcend the boundaries of decency and social behaviour but is also an offence under the Motor Vehicles Act,” said a senior police official.

Similar incident in Andhra

On December 29, another couple was seen hugging each other on a moving bike in Andhra Pradesh. The video of the young couple embracing on a moving motorcycle went viral on social media, and the footage eventually led to their arrest.

The boy in the video, identified as Ajay Kumar, was 22 years old and the woman was

K Shailaja, 19-year-old and a resident of Chodavaram. The video was thought to have been recorded on Visakhapatnam’s Steel Plant Road. 

The woman was seated on the bike’s fuel tank, as seen in the video. The man was driving the bike while sitting in the driver’s seat and the girl was hugging him from the front. It was deemed not only a bizarre way to ride but also a life risk. The man was also seen not wearing a helmet.
