As confirmed by the club, PSG have completed the signing of Napoli’s Spanish central midfielder Fabien Ruiz.
The 26-year-old joins the Ligue 1 title holders on a five year contract, which will run to 2027 while the fee involved is thought to be worth around €22m, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Despite the player having an agreement in place with PSG for a few weeks, Napoli and PSG struggled to find an agreement on a fee and that uncertainty has seen Ruiz left out of Napoli’s matchday squads since the beginning of the season.
Having joined Napoli from Real Betis in 2018 for €30m, Ruiz has amassed 15 Spain caps, scoring once, while playing 166 times for the Naples side, scoring 22 goals while adding 15 assists across all competitions.
Napoli and PSG are continuing to discuss a move in the opposition direction that would see Paris goalkeeper Keylor Navas join the Serie A side.
