Rishabh Pant was involved in a horrific car accident on December 30 while he was driving back home in Roorkee from Delhi. The car hit the divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway and ended up in flames after a couple of tumbles. Pant received cuts on his forehead along with a ligament tear on his knee. The keeper-batter also hurt his hand plus toe and suffered an abrasion on his back.
Pant is out of the ICU, but it appears he is out of action for a long period. Pant’s teammates and fans and players all over the world are praying for him. Team India players and coach Rahul Dravid wished Pant all the best in a touching video.
“In the last year, I have the privilege to seeing you Rishabh Pant and you played some of the greatest innings in Indian test cricket history. I know you’re a fighter, you have got the character and the ability to get yourself out from very difficult situations. This is one such challenge and I know you will bounce back from this situation like you have done so many times this year. Look forward to having you back soon buddy,” Dravid said.
