Pakistan vs England: Visitors Struck Down By Suspected Stomach Bug Ahead Of 1st Test

English players including captain Ben Stokes have been hit by a suspected stomach bug on the eve of the first Test against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, as per AFP. This is in spite of the tourists bringing their own chef. 

“Several players and staff members, including England captain Ben Stokes, are feeling unwell and have been advised to stay at the hotel to rest up,” said ECB in an official statement.

Reports in British media said they had viral food poisoning. 

Almost half the squad has been struck down, as per BBC.

Joe Root, Zak Crawley, Harry Brook, Ollie Pope and Keaton Jennings were the players at training along with head coach Brendon McCullum.
