India are still basking in the glory of their thrilling win over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli’s epic 82 not out had taken India over the line. But in the midst of all this frenzy, India need to remember the tournament is far from over.
India’s upcoming game is on October 27. The opponents are Netherlands. Not exactly taxing opponents but complacency is not an option.
Rewind to 2003 when India played Netherlands in the T20 World Cup. Our famed batting line-up struggled vs their bowling and we barely made it past 200. Thankfully our bowlers bailed us out with a win and we escaped embarrassment.
Rohit Sharma’s men cannot afford to take them lightly. India shall look to make it 2 in 2 as they aim to make it to the semis at the very least.
India have the relatively easier group no doubt, but taking a win for granted is the worst mindset one can end up with.
Come October 27, India are expected to brush Netherlands aside and do not be surprised if they go all out to destroy their opponents.
