Romeoville High School MCJROTC Is Naval Honor School

ROMEOVILLE, IL — Romeoville High School’s Marine Corps JROTC program has achieved Naval Honor School distinction for the second year in a row, Master Gunnery Sergeant Jonathan Couterier shared with Patch.

Couterier said the Inspector General gave a detailed inspection of the program last week.

The program achieved Naval Honor School distinction; the second year in a row that it has received the honor. Couterier said that before last year, it had been 14 years since Romeoville’s last selection.

“Achieving Naval Honor School status signifies a very high caliber program in all criteria and distinguishes Romeoville in the top 20 percent of all programs in the nation,” Couterier said in an email to Patch. There is only one higher level of ranking.
