BED-STUY, NY — Organizers revealed more details on a free festival coming to Bed-Stuy, building on an April announcement that Noname will headline.
The rap giant and organizer was announced in April as the headliner for MIKE’S Young World III, the third iteration of a Brooklyn-based rapper’s music festival to inspire creative Black youth.
This week, organizers announced NoName will be joined at Herbert Von King Park by Brooklyn rapper Jay Critch, rapper AKAI SOLO and MAVI.

The free festival, put on by Supreme and CityParks’ Summer Stage series, will run from 4 to 9 p.m. and include food, visual art, clothes and activities for Brooklyn’s kids.
“I give my biggest thanks to all of the artist on this line-up! Thank you for always inspiring me and so many people to create and see life in a different lens,” MIKE wrote in an Instagram post.

This year is the festival’s third iteration, which started in 2019 and in 2021 featured Slick Rick.
MIKE started the festival because he noticed a lack of rap-focused events in the festival and community event space — so he proposed the first Young World as a free, daytime in the Summer Stage series, Rolling Stone reported.
“The ultimate goal is to inspire the next generation of black youth to see creative professions as a viable option and create their own creative communities – thus ‘Young World,’ organizers said on the City Parks Foundation’s website.
