Australia A coach Jason Gilmore is set to headline the second annual Youth Rugby Coaches forum, designed to build coaching collaborations across the country.Gilmore is fresh off guiding Australia A to a 2-1 series win over a Japan XV, joined by the likes of cross-code star Ben Te'o, Reds GM of Rugby Sam Cordingley and Rugby Bricks founder Peter Breen.Find out more about the Youth Rugby Coaches Forum here"We were overwhelmed with the feedback we received from last year’s event, and I’m even more energised this time around as we aren’t restricted by COVID, allowing us to involve both presenters and attendees from outside South East Queensland," Organiser & Founder, Sean Graham said.“One of the highlights of last year’s event and something we are planning to grow further this year is the breakaway “think tanks” where coaches get together to share their knowledge on topics they are passionate about. "These think tanks embody the “coopetition” theme for the weekend, and coaches are exposed to how cooperating with your competitors can ultimately help everyone.” The program was introduced last year, with the likes of Dave Rennie and legendary rugby league coach Wayne Bennett leading the proceedings.Graham also confirmed the program has partnered with Canterbury to help maximise collaboration and participation for all levels of coaches to attend."We have established a partnership with Canterbury of New Zealand, who are generously working with us to make it possible to recruit presenters from around the country, and also sponsor attendees from regional and remote areas who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend," he added."Canterbury of New Zealand has been privileged to play a part in rugby from the elite to grassroots levels for many years," Regional head of Canterbury Tim Windle added.
