Westover Taco Aims For Fall Opening In Former Home Of The Forest Inn

ARLINGTON, VA — The owners of Westover Taco in Arlington are expecting to open in the fall in the former location of The Forest Inn.

Construction on the new restaurant at 5849 Washington Blvd is underway, with plans for a total makeover from its days as The Forest Inn.

“We’re looking forward to serving you some delicious margs, and we’re in the test kitchen working on recipes,” Westover Taco said on its Instagram page. “Opening will happen sometime this fall, and as soon as we know more, you’ll know!”

Sarah White, one of the co-owners of Westover Taco and board member of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, will serve as the manager of the new restaurant.

“You’ll find her behind the bar and running things at Westover Taco later this year!” the restaurant said.

In April, co-owner Scott Parker told ARLnow that permits from Arlington County had been approved and that the plans are to gut the former Forest Inn and make it all “brand new.”

Westover Taco will be located between Ayer’s Variety & Hardware Store and Toby’s Homemade Ice Cream & Coffee and in the same shopping center as the Westover Market and Beer Garden, The Italian Store and Walgreens and across Washington Blvd from Lost Dog Cafe, Stray Cat Cafe and Thai Noy restaurants.
