FRENCH VALLEY, CA — A 45-year-old Murrieta woman was killed Tuesday in a crash on Winchester Road in French Valley, and the cause of the fatal wreck remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
The woman, whose identity was not released pending notification of next of kin, was driving southbound on Winchester Road, just south of Skyview Road, shortly before noon.
“For reasons which are under investigation,” she made “an unsafe turning movement to the left,” causing the 2023 Chevrolet Volt she was driving to swerve into northbound lanes, the CHP reported.
