WARMINSTER, PA —”It was Pothole City.”

That’s the phrase Warminster Township Supervisor Chairwoman Katherine Frescatore used to describe her hometown of 47 years.

But no more.

At its recent supervisors’ meeting, Frescatore expressed her appreciation as the township’s 2024 paving project was announced.

“You’re doing phenomenal work with our roads,” she said. “It was pothole city. We’ve paved more roads in the past few years, 25 miles. That’s great work being done. Residents do comment to me about how nice the roads are.”

During the road paving presentation, officials said that about a half dozen roads are targeted this year.

Those roads had not been paved in more than 30 years, and that some neighborhoods were neglected for far too long and in “much-needed repair,” officials said.

Gilmore and Associates made its road paving presentation to supervisors at the Feb. 1 meeting, adding that 250 handicapped curb ramps, including those planned for this year, have been upgraded. That’s 40 miles.

“I’m gonna faint,” Frescatore said.

The Warminster Municipal Authority is also focusing on the Speedway, planning to replace twice as much of the water mains as normal.
