Paris United report tonight that PSG President Nasser Al Khelaifi held a meeting yesterday with 26-year-old Real Madrid midfielder Isco’s father and agent Paco Alarcón.
Since Santiago Solari’s arrival as Real Madrid boss, Isco has struggled with playing time and wants to leave the club. His father has as a result been meeting with multiple top European clubs including Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, the Spanish international is understood to prefer a move to PSG – it is not something that he has come to lightly – he has had numerous conversations with Karim Benzema about the city itself. Jesé Rodriguez in the meantime has actively advised Isco against coming to the Ligue 1 champions, owing to his own difficult experience with Les Parisiens.
Despite this, Isco still wants to move to PSG, a club that went after him considerably during Unai Emery’s time there in 2016. The now Arsenal coach spoke to Isco at the time in an attempt to convince him of a move, but Paris’ then Sporting Director, Olivier Létang, decided against going after the player.
Real Madrid appear open to negotiating with PSG over a transfer, but it is up to Les Parisiens to come up with an appealing way to structure a deal in line with Financial Fair Play regulations that Los Blancos might still go for.
