Inter Milan have today completed the signing of Keita Baldé on loan from AS Monaco, with the option to make the deal permanent.

The loan agreement is understood to be worth €6m and includes the option to buy the Senegalese forward for €42m.

The Spanish-born Baldé returns to the Serie A after one season at the Stade Louis II, where he scored 8 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

Baldé moved to Monaco in August 2017 for a reported €30m fee, following an impressive four-year spell in the Italian capital with Lazio that saw him linked with several top European clubs prior to his move to the South of France.

The Senegalese international expressed his delight in moving to the San Siro. “I am very happy to be here with the Inter family and I will give my all to make the fans happy…I’m back in Italy with a great desire to play for this great club, I have experience in the Championship and I want to do well, the fans are always great and I want them to be happy”.

The 23-year-old becomes the latest high-profile departure for Leonardo Jardim’s side, who have already seen the likes of Thomas Lemar, Fabinho, Terence Kongolo, Rachid Ghezzal and Adama Diakhaby leave the 2017 Ligue 1 Champions for notable fees.
