Pet Of The Week: 'Bubbly' Bambi Just Wants To Have Fun With A Family

BABYLON, NY — “Bubbly” Bambi is a resident of the Babylon Animal Shelter and is Patch’s Pet of the Week.

This fun-loving girl is a 50-pound, pit and lab mix who loves to run, fetch and swim in the summer.

“She would be a great addition to any family. She thrives on interacting with people,” said Babylon Animal Shelter volunteer Fiona Delgardio. “I swear the song ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’ is playing in her head.”

Shelter staff member Lyndsey Grosjean says Bambi is “very sweet, engaging, loving and obedient”

“But we feel Bambi would thrive in a savvy home along with a secure backyard where she’s the only pet,” she added.

The shelter needs experienced large dog handlers and its staff is happy to train interested dog lovers.

There’s also an abundance of bunnies, kittens and cats to spend time with too, Franke said. Anyone interested in volunteering may contact the shelter by calling the number above or emailing [email protected].
