Appearing on L’Équipe‘s TV channel this evening, Monaco manager Phillipe Clement highlighted his relationship with Ben Yedder as being ‘excellent’, even if the Frenchman has struggled to retain a place in his side in Ligue 1 this season.
“He started the last match against Rennes, he scored. Wissam is in the same situation as last season. He didn’t start very well before coming back well. I am convinced that it can be the same today. There is a lot of competition in the French team, every player wants to be called up to the national team but his reaction was very good. He trained well last week and now he is ready for the second sprint.”

“We have ambitions in all competitions. Whether it’s in Ligue 1, the Europa League or the French Cup, I don’t want to calculate. I want a team that plays to win every match. We want to finish as high as possible. We’ll see where we finish.”
