COLTS NECK, NJ — Looking for a new place to get your coffee? Look no further than The Grind Coffee Cafe in Colts Neck.
Located on State Route 34, The Grind offers a diverse menu of breakfast, lunch, espresso, matcha and more.
Frank Castellano, one of the cafe owners, said The Grind is unique as one of the only locations in the Colts Neck area to serve espresso-based drinks. Though the cafe has only recently come to Colts Neck, Castellano said the community has been a large part of The Grind’s opening.

“We have some friends and family in the area and we were frequently here,” Castellano said. “So once we saw the spot was available, we started to kick the idea [of opening the cafe] around and make it happen.”

While The Grind hasn’t hosted its grand opening just yet, Castellano said the cafe is fully operational and open to the public. Currently, the staff are working through the menu to make sure there are no changes that need to be made before their official opening.

As September begins, the Grind has even put out a special Fall Menu for customers to enjoy. The menu features drinks such as Caramel Apple Butter Macchiatos, Pumpkin Spice Chai Teas, Pecan Pie Lattes and more.
“We’re all family-oriented,” Castellano said. “We do a lot of events here for the kids around the holidays — Christmas, Thanksgiving — all that type of stuff. We just want to become part of the community.”
The Grind is open seven days a week from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
