Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Bayern Munich are all interested in making a summer move for Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné (21)
Koné has been one of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s standout players this season, and it is Romano’s understanding that a summer move is most likely for the young Frenchman. The France U21 international has played 15 times for the German side this season and is attracting interest from some of Europe’s elite.
Whilst Liverpool’s priority remains to sign Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham (19), the Merseyside club are also keeping tabs on Koné. According to Romano, Bayern Munich, PSG and Newcastle are also all aware of the player’s situation. L’Équipe reported back in August that Mönchengldbach rejected a €35m approach from Newcastle, with the German club uninterested in selling their midfielder back in last summer’s transfer window. However, it was stated at the time that there was a chance for the player to leave in the summer of 2023.
