Antoine Kombouaré has a big weekend ahead of him as Nantes‘ recent run of poor results has jeopardized his future at the club.
According to a report from L’Équipe, however, the manager has been allowed time to turn the tide and will thus not be relieved of his managerial duties immediately, even if the team faces another setback at the weekend when Les Canaris lock horns with Brest in a home Ligue 1 fixture on Sunday.

Since the start of the season, Nantes have been on a miserable run, having registered only one win out of 10 matches in Ligue 1 thus far. As a result, they stand 19th with seven points from ten games. In the UEFA Europa League, they are now on the brink of elimination, owing to three defeats in the last four games.
The report claims that the leaders at the club have already started looking for a replacement and could consider dismissing Kombouaré if the results don’t change sooner rather than later.
The initial idea was to give Kombouaré a period until the upcoming World Cup. But the defeats in recent matches have turned some heads. While there are warning signs for the boss, the club management remains reluctant to rush anything.
