L’Équipe are reporting that Laurent Blanc is set to replace the outgoing Peter Bosz at Lyon. The former Paris Saint-Germain coach is expected to arrive in the coming days.
As has already been widely reported, Bosz has been sacked by Lyon, although there is yet to be an official announcement from the club. The decision comes following a meeting with Jean-Michel Aulas and Vincent Ponsot on Saturday afternoon. The players are yet to be made aware of the decision.
As reported by RMC, the club’s assistant Claudio Caçapa is set to take charge in the interim, however, that period could be short-lived. According to L’Équipe, Blanc was contacted the day after Lyon’s 1-0 defeat to RC Lens, eight days ago.
Although nothing has yet been signed, he is expected at the club next week, and he will be accompanied by his assistant Frank Passi, as well as physical trainer Philippe Lambert.
