Metz fans worst fears may be soon realised as RMC report this afternoon that negotiations are underway for the sale of teenage midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.
First discussions have begun between Metz, who finished tenth in Ligue 1 last season, and three English Premier League clubs – Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea – for the 18-year-old Senegalese midfielder with Metz president Bernard Serin meeting with club represtatives.

The fee being discussed is thought to be around €30m, not €40m, and, contrary to previous rumours, Real Madrid are not involved in negotiations.
