L’Équipe report this evening that Bayer Leverkusen have made an offer for Paris Saint-Germain defender Thilo Kehrer. Although the German’s market value is estimated to be in the region of €20m, the details of the Bundesliga side’s offer are yet to be revealed.
The 24-year-old is open to a move to the Bundesliga, having fallen down the defensive pecking order at PSG with the arrival of Sergio Ramos on a free transfer – nevertheless, although Bayer Leverkusen will approach PSG again in the coming days, the Spaniard’s injury and Marquinhos’ absence means that Kehrer has played a part in Les Parisiens’ early season encounters.
Over the long term, Kehrer is looking to earn a place in Hansi Flick’s German national team set-up. The centre-back has been in Paris since the 2018/19 season, having won two Ligue 1 titles since his €37m transfer from Schalke 04.
